We’ve made it on the old cobbled mule track to the top of St Gotthards. 38 hairpins. Hard going but stunning views and just two cars the whole way and one herd of alpine cows with bells being herded over the top which delayed us a little. V good cafe at top so having a snack then on to Lucerne. R and Bx
Don’t worry Barbara and Robin, the peleton is not going to pull you in, they are too busy fraternising with the natives and eating their fruit. See you soon, but we’re probably bringing some rain!!
You two are amazing. I hear spartans keep falling off so dont worry about them catching you. Sarah
Well done you two. Am looking forward to joining you in Lucerne and will bask in your glory for the remainder of the ride. Well done – I’m well impressed.

Chapeau, well done
WOW! Well done! And you chose the steep cobbled route over the mountain too. We were having a sweepstake based on the route options you outlined in your previous post – and needless to say I lost. But you guys are the real winners!
Mind you – keep an eye out over your shoulders – the Spartans are coming…..!
